Cranstoun Community Drug Agency

The Cranstoun community drug agency is a non profit making registered charity. The team has over 40 years experience delivering substance misuse services and consists of project workers and a health care lead.

It is needs based service tailoring interventions specifically to each individual client. It is a confidential service aiming to reduce the impact and harm caused by drug use to individuals and communities.

They offer:

Choosing to Change – Structured Day Program – An abstinence focused, 12 week rolling modular structured group work program. The group work includes relapse prevention, life and social skills including assertiveness, emotion management and cognitive skills, change management and access to through and aftercare support. In Rugby on Monday, Wednesday and Friday, 10.30am to 12.30pm.

Triage Assessments – Offered at all sites.

Structured Intervention Service (SIS) – One to one sessions, once a week of 50 minutes at various locations. Starts with an assessment, and then up to 12 sessions to look at drug related issues. We hold a number of places for women, relatives and carers. In Rugby Monday to Friday by appointment + Monday evening by appointment.

Acupuncture – Auricular (ear) acupuncture which can help to relax and detox, and helps to reduce cravings. In Rugby Monday to Friday 1.30pm to 2.30pm.

Brief Interventions – One to One sessions once a week for up to 50 minutes at various locations. Up to 4 sessions to look at current drug related issues. In Rugby, Monday to Friday by appointment + Monday evening by appointment.

Drop-ins – Come along for help and support, also provide needle exchange and acupuncture. In Rugby, Monday to Fridays 2.30pm to 4.30pm.

Needle Exchange – Operate a needle exchange service, also offering harm reduction and use management advice. In Rugby, Monday to Fridays 2.30pm to 4.30pm.

Sahil Project

Sahil is a Registered Charity No: 1109863 and a Company Limited Registered No: 5283848 not for profit voluntary organisation. It was established in 1986 to provide help and support to Asian women experiencing mental health problems in Coventry and surrounding areas. Majority of our clients suffer from stress, isolation and depression.

Sahil is funded by the Coventry NHS Teaching Primary Care Trust and Coventry Social Services Department.

The project was primarily set up to offer practical and emotional support to Asian women experiencing stress and isolation.

After extensive research, it was found that there was more that needed to be done than originally thought.

Due to this Sahil has rapidly expanded offering a wide range of services to Asian women through its volunteering Befriending Service, Benefit Advice, One to One drop in service, Counseling, Employment Service, Training Services,

All our service users can expect a professional, culturally sensitive and confidential service at all times.

Rugby Borough Credit Union is a savings and loans financial co-operative.

The Credit Union is able to attract members from within the boundaries of the Rugby Borough.
